The Challenges

 

To work with our partners to create a Ticket booking system that could adapt to different user needs.

Those needs could be booking for multi-leg travel have or an event. These use cases have different requirements.

The Booking system has to be white label, adjustable branding to look at home on our partners websites or apps.

The content had to be fed from the Ticknovate SAAS admin portal which allows for

  • Service management and complex routes

  • Variable product pricing

  • Upsell between products

  • Promotions and combos

The work

Modular to adjust to different use cases

Ticknovate is a multi purpose ticketing system which can support companies with complex services.

The types of companies it is currently serving:

  • Hop on and off river boats

  • A to B Ferry

  • Boat rental

  • Event entry

Long distance ferry travel

Requirements for automobiles

User who are travelling on the ferry with their vehicle need to choose a category of vehicle so the operator can manage capacity.

Selecting times and product

This module is focused on travel and transport, it includes things that are important to the user,

  • filtering by arrival or departure time.

  • Travel duration

  • Transfer quantity

  • Price for each days

  • Product options

Multi leg journey summary

Journey overview gives the user an itinerary of their journey and important information for travel.

White label interface

 

The booking system is white label with adjustable branding to look native to the customer’s website.

To do this we kept the UI styling fairly neutral but allowed for variations in colour, type and iconography.

For the Ticknovate Booking flow, we define a colour palate which applies to the entire booking experience.

Changing the typography to match the brands is important for the booking flow to feel native to the website.
